Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
Draft for review. Razorpay and Cashfree both require a published refund policy before they will activate a live account, so keep this page online. Have the numbers confirmed by a lawyer or your accountant.
1. The free plan
Nothing to refund — it costs nothing, and it always will.
2. JeevanOS Pro
2.1 A genuine 7-day money-back window
If Pro isn't for you, ask within 7 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. No form, no reason required, no retention call. Just email hello@khakta.com from your registered address.
2.2 Cancelling
Cancel any time from Settings. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you are not charged again. Cancelling does not delete your data — that's a separate button, and it's yours to press.
2.3 Part-used periods
After the 7-day window, we don't refund unused days of a monthly plan. For annual plans cancelled after the window, we refund the unused whole months, less any discount you received for paying annually.
2.4 When we'll refund anyway
- You were charged twice for the same period.
- You were charged after cancelling.
- A Pro feature you paid for was unavailable for an extended period through our fault.
- We discontinue the service — you get the unused period back in full.
3. Make It Happen jobs
3.1 Before the provider starts
Cancel before work begins and you get 100% back, including our commission.
3.2 After work has started
Money you've paid is held until you approve delivery. If you cancel mid-way, the provider is entitled to a fair amount for work genuinely completed. If you and the provider can't agree what that is, raise a dispute and we'll decide based on the written record and evidence of work done.
3.3 If delivery is late, incomplete or not what was agreed
Raise a dispute in the app before the auto-approval window closes ([7] days after delivery). Possible outcomes: the provider fixes it, a partial refund, or a full refund including our commission where the fault is clear.
3.4 Third-party bookings
Some steps involve outside bookings with their own rules — train and flight tickets, hotel prepayments, permits. Those follow the original supplier's cancellation policy, which we will show you before you agree. We refund our commission on any such step that is cancelled, but we cannot refund what a third party keeps.
3.5 Force majeure
For landslides, road closures, weather, strikes or other events beyond anyone's control, we will always try to reschedule first. Where a provider hasn't incurred costs, we refund in full. Where they have, we refund the balance.
4. How refunds reach you
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Once approved, we initiate within 3 working days; your bank or UPI provider typically takes a further 5 to 7 working days to show it. We'll email you the reference number.
5. Asking for a refund
Email hello@khakta.com from your registered address with your order or transaction ID and a line about what happened. We reply within 2 working days, and we'd rather fix the problem than argue about the money.
