Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Mehak Khakta ("JeevanOS", "we", "us"), operating as a sole proprietor, based in India, at an address available on request through khakta.com/contact. By using khakta.com or the JeevanOS app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Who can use JeevanOS

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. You are responsible for anything done through your account.

3. There are two apps, and they behave differently

This matters more than anything else on this page, so it comes first.

• The try-it demo (khakta.com/app.html) needs no account. Everything you write in it stays in your own browser and never reaches us. We have no copy and cannot restore it. Clearing browser data, or opening it on another device, loses it. Keeping a copy is yours to do, and the app gives you both halves of it: Download a backup, and Import a backup to load one back.
• The account app (khakta.com/os/) is the one you sign in to. Your data is stored on our server so it is still there on a different phone. We keep daily backups. That is the trade: the demo is private to your device, the account is portable but ours to hold. It has the same two buttons, under Privacy: download everything as a file, and bring a backup back — either adding only what is missing, or replacing the lot.

The demo is a separate app. What you write in it does not move to an account by itself.

4. Your content

Everything you write stays yours. You grant us only the narrow, revocable licence needed to store and display it back to you, and — where you explicitly ask for an AI feature — to process that specific content in order to answer you. We claim no ownership, we do not publish your content, and we do not use your private entries to train models.

5. What you can buy — and what does not happen

Nothing here is a subscription. There is no auto-renewal, no recurring charge, and no card kept on file. You buy a thing once, it runs out, and we do not charge you again unless you choose to buy again. Everything is in Indian Rupees, paid in advance, and prices shown include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Pro gives you a larger daily allowance of AI actions for 30 days. On day 31 the account simply returns to the free plan. Nothing is charged.
• Credits are bought in blocks and spend on our most capable model. They do not expire.
• The free plan is free and stays free. It has a small daily AI allowance.
• A Founding Pass, where granted, is a gift, not a price: the paid experience at no cost for a fixed period, after which the account returns to the free plan. It is not a rate you are locked into and it does not renew.
• Fair use applies to AI features. If usage is extreme enough to threaten the service, we will contact you before limiting anything.

Because nothing recurs, there is nothing to cancel — and no way for you to be charged after you stopped wanting it. If that ever changes, we will say so here first.

6. Make It Happen — what we are, and what we are not

Make It Happen is how you ask for something to be done — a birthday handled, a trip booked, a coach found — and it gets arranged with independent providers: freelancers, homestays, drivers, guides, shops and other businesses. It is early, it is run by hand, and the paragraphs below say plainly what that means for you.

• Providers are independent. They are not our employees, agents or partners. We do not perform the services ourselves unless we tell you we are.
• Our role is to arrange and coordinate. We shape your request into steps, agree one price with you, find the people, and stay on the job until it is done. The contract for the work itself is between you and the provider.
• We do not hold your money in escrow. This is the sentence an earlier version of this page got wrong, so it is written plainly: when you pay, the money reaches our business account. It is not ring-fenced, not held by a third party on your behalf, and not protected by any escrow arrangement. What you have is our promise to arrange what you paid for and our refund policy if we don't.
• A tick beside a provider means we have dealt with them and will vouch for them. It is a judgement by a person, not a background check. We do not verify identity documents and we do not set test tasks. It is not a guarantee of quality, safety or outcome.
• You are quoted one number, with our margin inside it. We do not take a cut out of what a provider quoted, and there is no fee line added at the end. You see the total before you agree to anything.

7. How a job actually works

1. You describe what you want.
2. We turn it into real steps and agree a single price with you, in writing, in the app.
3. When you agree, we send you a secure payment link. You pay the agreed total.
4. We assign each step to a provider who does that work.
5. The provider does it and marks it delivered.
6. You tap Approve delivery when you are happy with it.
7. We pay the provider.
8. You can rate the job. Providers do not rate you.

Nothing approves itself. There is no timer and no auto-approval: if you never tap approve, the job simply stays open and we will come and ask you. No clock takes a decision away from you.

Please keep agreed deals on the platform. Once we have introduced you to a provider for a job, taking that job off-platform means we cannot help when it goes wrong, and it is grounds for removing either party.

8. If something goes wrong

There is no formal dispute system in the app, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What there is: message us on the job itself, or write to us, and a real person reads it and sorts it out. In practice that means we chase the provider, get it redone, or refund you — see the refund policy, which is the binding part.

We decide these by hand, we tell you why, and our decision is not a substitute for your legal rights. If our answer is not good enough, nothing here stops you pursuing the provider or us in the ordinary way.

9. Liability

JeevanOS is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) the amount you paid us for the specific job complained of. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts, omissions, quality or safety of independent providers.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Things you must not do

• Break Indian law, or use the service to harm, harass or defraud anyone.
• Upload content you have no right to, or anything sexual involving minors, or content inciting violence.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or attack the service.
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your credentials as a provider.
• Take a job we introduced you to off the platform.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things, and we will tell you why.

11. Ending things

You may stop using JeevanOS at any time, and delete your account entirely from within the app — that button is real and it is yours to press. We may terminate for breach of these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice — in which case we will refund any unused prepaid period and give you time to export your data.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Indian courts have jurisdiction, and until a seat is named the courts of the place where the operator resides shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
